Carlos Huerta just installed my new Amarr garage door. He arrived on time, explained what he was installing and made sure I was getting what I ordered. Since Carlos was by himself, I ask if he needed my assistance to unload. He said thank you, and politely said he was fine and did not need my assistance. He said he has been doing this for over 10 years and has a routine down. Being a bit skeptical, I observed Carlos as he unloaded the truck; he totally impressed me as he carefully unloaded and set up his workstation. At that point I went inside and waited.
I purchased a 16x7 Heritage 3000, insulated, dark brown color door, with a LiftMaster 6690L opener. I also opted for the whisper kit instead of the standard metal hinges; these hinges are made of hard plastic no metal-to-metal contact to cause that annoying noise we all hate.
As a comparison, I downloaded a decibel meter and took a reading of my old door. The db reading was between 70 to 90db. My new door is reading between 30 to 40db, that is basically background noise level, it's amazing the difference.
If you are in the market for a new garage door I suggest you visit the showroom and test all the doors and openers they have on display.
Update:
Today is 3/19/2026 outside temperature is 102ºF here in Surprise. My house faces East/West, so my garage door is getting the western afternoon sun at the highest temperature. I went outside and took the temperature of my garage door at approximately 2:45PM. I used my Fluke 62 Mini Infrared handheld thermometer; temperature read 173.5. I
said no way, so I measured each of the four panels. From bottom to top, 173º,172º,169º,173º for an average of 171.75º or 172ºF. I went inside and repeated the same measurements 105º, 104º, 100º, 98º for an average of 101.75º or 102ºF; a difference of 70º. The inside temperature was reading 92º, compared to last year of over 110ºF.
I had a small issue with my garage door. It was making a strange noise; nothing mechanical or operational just a noise. So I called and made an appointment. Carlos Huerta came out and analyzed the noise as a bad bearing. He replaced both bearings and lubed all the rollers and springs. The door is back to noise free! Thank you Carlos excellent work.

Joe Watson showed up on time and was patiently waiting as I was 10 minutes late coming from work. Efficient quick and upfront Joe did a great job fixed the repair needed and was gone with a smile. You never know who’s going to show up and how you’d feel about letting them into your home but Joe was awesome. We heartily recommend this company and especially Joe.
